Reproduction 1911 safety, that was included on several early variants of the 1911. Bringing their expertise in refinishing original 1911 pistols, Turnbull Manufacturing is now creating replacement parts for these classic firearms. This safety, was used on Colt 1911 pistols between serial numbers 6,001 & 375,000. It was also used on all Remington-UMC pistols. The safety features a checkered top, thick thumb piece, and a machined cut underneath the thumb piece, just like the original part. Steel construction with a blued finish.
