THE PERFECT TIP & BLADE We started with the tip of the blade, the part that has to fit the gun screw properly, and the most important part of a gunsmith's screwdriver. The blade tips are then custom, precision-ground in a crisply radiused, hollow-ground shape to give maximum strength. And, the ideal parallel section is ground at the tip to fit the screw slot properly through the full width and depth of the slot. (This is what keeps you from buggering screws – a blade tip that evenly distributes the turning torque applied at the handle to the full width and depth of the screw slot.) We made the blades short (you're only 2 1/2" from the workpiece) to give Mfg: Brownells SPECS: 2 1/2" (6.3cm) long shanks. 3 3/4" (9.5cm) long x 1"(2.5cm) dia. handle. Each screwdriver packed in individual plastic tube.
