A third hand for removing the firing pin from Remington and Ruger bolt action rifles without lost parts or sore fingers that sometimes accompany this tricky job. Install the correct bushing for your rifle in the end of the tool body. Screw the firing pin assembly into the bushing, and tighten the threaded, steel shank to compress and capture the mainspring. The hollow shank protects the firing pin tip as it slides over the pin to compress the spring. The crosspin can then be driven out with a punch, and the spring tension relieved by gradually loosening the shank. Includes bushings for Remington 700 family and Ruger M77 Mark II rifles.
