Apex Tactical’s 1911 Barrel Fitting Jig securely retains any 1911 pistol barrel in the proper position for filing both length and width of the hood to ensure a precise fit to the slide. Apex’s fixture is so versatile it will even work on bull barrels – no bullsha | uh, baloney! The solid base of the 1911 Barrel Fitting Jig is machined from billet aluminum, then anodized in Apex Tactical Red for excellent corrosion and wear-resistance. A hardened steel screw goes through the barrel’s link pin holes to retain it in a cutout on the base. Another slot provides plenty of clearance to access the hood with the proper file.
